Hi there,

I’m Kaylee!

I am so glad you came across my blog! Wildflowers & the Word has been a ministry laid on my heart for quite some time, and to see it become a reality has been a dream come true, and I have been amazed watching God work.

A bit about me…

I am blessed to be the wife of the most amazing husband and the mother of the most beautiful baby girl. I accepted Christ when I was about eight years old, and my faith has been the foundation of my life ever since.

Writing has always been a deep passion of mine, which led me to pursue a bachelor’s degree in English with the hope of one day becoming a writer. Looking back, it’s funny to realize how much my degree shaped the way I engage with Scripture. Studying literature taught me how to analyze and interpret texts, but it wasn’t until years later that I saw how those same skills could help me dive deeper into God’s Word.

When God placed the idea for this blog on my heart, it felt like watching Him weave together so many of my passions into one purpose. I’m excited to share this journey with you!

My favorite bible verses:

Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.

Philippians 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Luke 12:27-28

Consider how the wildflowers grow: They don’t labor or spin thread. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was adorned like one of these. If that’s how God clothes the grass, which is in the field today and is thrown into the furnace tomorrow, how much more will he do for you—you of little faith?

Meet my husband!

I would be remiss to not at least offer a shoutout to my husband, Austin. He has put in so much work helping me develop the backend of this website and I feel so blessed to have his help. It is incredible watching God use the skills He gives us for His kingdom work.
